Account Supervisor (FCBSIX)

Job purpose

The Account Supervisor plays an integral role within the account team through dedicated thought/brand leadership working towards executional excellence and management of the day- to-day workflow. This individual will be driven, buttoned down and passionate about delivering 1:1 precision marketing (email, direct mail, online media and digital experiences). The Account Supervisor will also manage direct reports and work closely with various departments throughout the entirety of projects (project management, strategy creative and data & technology). This role will be focused on servicing a large pharmaceutical client.
Duties and responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Keep clients up to date on all projects and lead weekly client status meetings
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and Integrated Agency Teams
• Works alongside account team members to discuss issues and solutions with clients
• Ensure all client requests are met in a timely and service-oriented manner (working closely with project management team)
• Keep all agency departments informed on client/account developments
• Keep senior accounts team informed on projects
• Work with clients to identify key challenges/opportunities that need to be addressed
• Keep abreast of all client industry developments, category news, and competition

Project Management

• Flawlessly drive execution processes through the agency (integrated disciplines)
• Provide superior project management of day-to-day workflow
• Provide support to client meetings, setting objectives, and actively participate in selling Agency’s position
• Develop strategically sound briefs (in collaboration with strategy and consulting team)
• Use strong creative instincts and develop superior selling skills to ensure best possible creative gets sold
• Provides feedback to internal teams (strategy, creative, and technology) based on client insights and strategy

Administrative Responsibilities

• Accurately manage budgets/resources on job-to-job basis (working closely with PM)
• Manage, coach and develop direct reports
• Delegate effectively
• Participate actively in the personal appraisal process to improve performance


• University degree preferably in Marketing, Communications or Commerce
• 3 -5 years previous experience working in an advertising agency with a solid foundation in digital and CRM disciplines.
• Healthcare / Pharmaceutical industry experience an asset
• Interest in managing, coaching and mentoring junior staff
• Solid foundation and understanding of the key roles and responsibilities of Account Management
• Extremely organized with experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with 3rd party vendors and external agency partners
• Strong oral and written presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a professional presentation
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to team success
• Confident in own abilities and ideas, and not afraid to provide input to the team
